Description:
The Raspberry Pi A+ is a micro-card computer with a relatively low price, making it the first choice for low-cost solutions. Model A+ reduces the number of four USB ports to one based on Model A, making it a smaller size design.
Although the size has been reduced, this new model supports the same MicroSD card reader and 40-pin GPI port as Model B. Other features include Broadcom BCM2385 ARM11 processor, 512MB of memory and HDMI output port.
New features of Raspberry Pi A+:
- More GPIOs: Increase the GPIO pin headers to 40, with the first 26 pin headers compatible with RPi A and RPi B;
- Support for microSD: The old SD card slot has been replaced with a smaller microSD card slot;
- Lower power consumption: the linear regulator circuit is replaced by a switching (DC-DC), reducing power consumption by 0.5W to 1W;
- Better audio: The audio circuit section uses a dedicated low-noise power supply;
- Smaller motherboard size and full compatibility with HAT
- Ability to support 1080P HD video output
