4 common problems
4.1. Can the programmer be used in the Win7 operating system?
Answer:: AVR studio’s V4.19, v5, and v6.1 can be used under the Win7 operating system. The USB to the serial port of this programmer also supports Win7, so the programmer can be used in the Win7 environment.
4.2. Can the programmer be used in the Win10 operating system?
Answer: AVR studio’s V4.19, v5, v6.2, and V7.0 can be used under the Win10 operating system. The USB to the serial port of this programmer also supports Win10, so the programmer can be used in the Win10 environment.
4.3. How to deal with unsupported devices during the use of the programmer?
Answer: this programmer is the same as the ISP programming function supported by the stk500 kit, and has been fully tested on the chips commonly used in AVR. If you encounter an AVR chip that can be supported by the STK500 through ISP in use, and the programmer cannot support it due to BUG reasons, you can send the test board back to us. We are responsible for upgrading the program to correct the firmware errors or deficiencies if it is programmed. The device cannot be programmed due to its own reasons, and the round-trip freight is paid by the manufacturer.
4.4. When the programmer is performing ISP programming operation, what causes the error of entering the programming mode when prompted?
Answer: First reduce the ISP programming clock to 56K and then read the chip ID. If an error is still reported, it is usually because the fuse bit of the chip is incorrectly configured, which causes the ISP mode to work abnormally. Please replace it with a brand new chip. Then perform ISP function test.
